Last night (Monday September 29th, 2008) marked our second major radio station to play McAlister Drive over the airwaves in less than 4 months. Irene, who's show is on Monday through Friday from 7-12 PM, played us first on 92.5 and gave us a great plug! Help support us on one of our favorite radio stations and request McAlister Drive any time Monday through Friday between 7 and Midnight. All you have to do is call the request line at (508)-374-9250 and tell Irene we said what's up?!

Have you ever wanted to be in one of those live videos that so many bands across the world have made? Well here’s your chance!

McAlister Drive is teaming up with Bar Band Productions and Adva Mobile to put together one of the most unique fan interactive events we have ever had. With so much going on with MD in 2008 we want to play a show for YOU and directly after hear what YOU have to say.

If you haven’t been to a McAlister Drive experience yet, you are in for a good time. On Thursday, September 25th at Felt Boston we will be performing a completely different show than any McAlister Drive fan has ever seen. The whole event will be caught on tape, with fan interviews, band interviews, and live footage of the experience as a whole. As MD has been asked for more videos, we thought it’s about time we deliver.

WE ARE!!!

We just got the raw footage from our SOLD OUT Hard Rock Cafe Show and we will be putting together a little video for you all shortly. We also are proud to announce that we have almost finished our first music video. This will be posted in the next month or so.

In other news McAlister Drive will be launching our follow up to last year’s College Tour! The McAlister Drive 2008 College Concert Series will be beginning early October and continuing till May 2009. The band will be traveling from Boston to New Orleans and will be booking dates progressively through the year. We have already set up a number of dates, but if you are at a College and want McAlister Drive to come please e-mail us at McAlisterDrive@gmail.com.

Additionally, we would like to prepare you for all the other upcoming releases by McAlister Drive. Starting this October we will be releasing a number of live videos, our first ever music video, new photo albums, a bunch of new basement recordings of the new up and coming material for our follow up album to “Something to Sleep With,” many many more tour dates, and our new blog by our bassist Peter “the dude” Loring (or as some of you know him as Maurice Bearclaw). Wow! 2008 just keeps getting better and better. After recently coming off a monster sold out show at the Hard Rock Café in Boston, McAlister Drive is moving forward to an even bigger night just weeks later. Last week we just got word that McAlister Drive will closing this Friday Night’s Showcase at The Harp, for this year’s Boston Music Festival. Boston Music Festival is the hottest cross-cultural Music Event in Boston that is coming back to you this September 2008. Last year with an attendance of 8,000 and great media attention, this year is bigger and better!

This one of a kind festival features an amazing week of live performances from at least 100 bands showcasing at the Best Music Venues in Boston.

There will be different venues showcasing various Rock/Pop, R&B/Hip-Hop, Latin, Singer/Songwriter, Jazz/Classical artists. One group from each category will be chosen to perform outdoors at Boston City Hall for the final showcase concert. There will be lots of giveaway prizes and media exposure.

On August 16th, 2008, McAlister Drive played the show that has catapulted their career in 2008. The sold out crowd at The Hard Rock show wanted more and they are getting more. Recently, the booking has been off the charts and MD is gearing up for Fall, where not only are the leaves changing here in Boston, but the lives of all the MD members are going for a ride. Club Felt just informed us that they will be canceling all live shows this summer due to reasons unknown... This obviously means our show on the 17th has been cancelled.
